Your doctor has requested that an ultrasound exam be performed.

An ultrasound machine produces a picture of your body using sound waves. A special device called an ultrasound probe is placed within the vaginal canal.

1. There will be no preparation for this exam.
2. This exam will take approximately 30 minutes.
3. Report to Radiology approximately 20 minutes before your scheduled time if you have not been contacted by the Admitting Office.
